It can be hard to keep up with business mergers and name changes, especially in the medical alert system industry. Recently, GreatCall changed its name to Lively. While the devices and services remain similar, it is wise to brush up on your Lively knowledge. Even if you don’t currently have a Lively product, you can still learn more about what they offer.

Let’s dive into what you need to know about Lively.

Lively Services

Lively is unique in the medical alert space because its services are designed to offer more than just emergency support. They have developed a menu of services for users that range from urgent care to scheduling ride services. Here is a bit about each of their diverse services offered to users.

  • Lively Urgent Response
When users push their emergency button on their Lively device or on the Lively app, they are automatically connected to trained operators. Lively operators are specially trained and are there to help with large and small emergencies. They can connect to emergency responders and request assistance on the user’s behalf if needed and use GPS technology to give specific directions for how responders can reach the emergency.
  • Lively Urgent Care
Lively users are able to speak with pharmacists and physicians over the phone. Users do not need to make an appointment and there are typically no co-pay fees for this feature. Physicians are there to talk about situations and even prescribe common medications to send to your local pharmacy.
  • Lively Rides
The Lively company has teamed up with Lyft to provide rides. Users can have an operator schedule the ride on their behalf, meaning they just have to wait for the pick up.
  • Lively Link App
The Lively Link app is available for users and their family members to download. Users can designate family members or caregivers who they want to be notified if they contact Urgent Response operators.
  • Lively Personal Operators
For non-emergency services, Lively provides an option to contact a Personal Operator. These team members are there to help walk users through their new or used devices, helping them with tasks from adding a new contact to giving driving directions.
  • Lively Fall Detection
Automatic fall detection technology and services are available on most Lively devices. This means that the system can contact you to see if you are okay if it notices an event that could be a fall. This way, if a user loses consciousness or is unable to push their own emergency button, operators can send out emergency response services immediately on their behalf.

While not all products come with all Lively services, the company does offer a versatile menu of services that could be beneficial to users in different stages of life.

Lively doesn’t just provide services. They also offer a variety of products and solutions that are designed to keep users safe and secure. Here is a quick list of the devices they currently offer:

Smartphones & Flip Phones

Lively offers two types of phones, the Lively smart and the Lively flip. The flip is an easy-to-use cell phone ideal for a senior who might not be tech-savvy or who doesn’t want a lot of bells and whistles on their cell phone. In contrast, the smart is Lively’s answer to a traditional smartphone.

Both phones offer a button to push to contact Urgent Response, as well as a simple monthly plan that includes talk and text.

Medical Alert Devices

Lively offers a variety of medical alert devices, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. Users are able to find one that suits their current lifestyle and future needs in order to make the best decision.

The Lively Mobile Plus clips easily to your belt, purse, or lanyard. The device features two-way communication so you can push the Urgent Response button and then speak with an operator right on the device.

The Lively Wearable 2 is a watch, making it more discreet to wear. The device connects with your smartphone, which means when you push the Urgent Response button, you are connected to operators via the Lively app on your smartphone.

Both devices are priced under $50 and require a monthly service subscription or plan.
